Coin Strike

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Coin Strike surprised us. On the surface it's a simple tap-timing strategy game: tokens march down a few lanes, and you fire coins to knock them back before they reach your base. But the deeper you go, the more it turns into a planning puzzle about which lane to feed and when to save up for a bigger hit.

Controls are the strong point. One thumb handles everything, and the game never fights you. Each level throws a slightly different rhythm at you, so you're constantly adjusting your timing rather than repeating the same motion. The upgrade tree between stages lets you lean into speed or raw power, and both paths felt genuinely different when we replayed early levels.

There's a satisfying loop here. Sessions are short, the difficulty curve is fair, and the whole thing runs smoothly even on an older phone we keep around for testing. It isn't a deep campaign, but as a pick-up-for-ten-minutes strategy game it earns its place on the home screen.
